Law360 Features Stevens & Lee Federal Court Win in Retaliation and Harassment Suit 

In the Law360 article “Whisper Not Enough To Sustain Worker’s Harassment Suit,” the Stevens & Lee team of Brad Kushner and Sasha Philips secured an order dismissing a federal complaint of retaliation and sexual harassment under Title VII brought by an employee against Merck & Co. (Merck). The precedential decision helps to clarify what conduct by a supervisor is, and is not, unlawful.

The Stevens & Lee team successfully argued that the plaintiff failed to prove either sexual harassment or retaliation under Title VII. The Hon. Kelley B. Hodge of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania awarded summary judgment to Merck, dismissing the complaint in its entirety.
