Assistant General Counsel

Joe is the firm’s Assistant General Counsel for employment matters. He is responsible for providing advice and guidance to the Stevens & Lee Companies’ executive and human resources teams on matters involving firm employees and provides advice on effective human resource management practices, legal compliance and risk management in labor and employment matters. He also works closely with the firm’s General Counsel on compliance, risk management and ethics issues as they relate to firm employees.

Previously, Joe was a Shareholder in the firm practicing in the area of employment and labor law. Prior to his time with Stevens & Lee, Joe served as Regional Personnel Representative & Senior Employee Relations Representative for Target Stores and as staff labor counsel for the Minnesota Nurses Association.
