Alicia focuses her practice on health care regulatory and corporate transactional matters, with an emphasis on regulatory, reimbursement, compliance and operational issues. She has successfully completed Medicare and Medicaid enrollments in addition to other regulatory filings. Additionally, she has filed review board appeals and challenged a national accrediting body’s decision to revoke an organization’s accreditation. Alicia also conducts legal research, analysis and writing related to Medicare and Medicaid coverage and reimbursement issues, EMTALA compliance, GME related matters, DEA related matters and general compliance, among others.

While in law school, Alicia served as a judicial intern for the Hon. David Strawbridge, U.S. Magistrate Judge for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

Prior to her career in law, she worked as a Registered Nurse for more than 10 years within various areas of health care. She was a Health Facility Quality Examiner with the Pennsylvania Department of Health and provided direct patient care as a Registered Nurse in various hospitals and other health care facilities across the Commonwealth. She is still a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania and her nursing experience allows her to provide nuanced insights to clients.
